The JC237 Expedition

In August-September 2022, a team of marine scientists from the iAtlantic project are undertaking a 4-week expedition to investigate and explore the ecosystems and natural processes in the Whittard Canyon in the north-east Atlantic Ocean.
Use the links below to discover more about the expedition: who’s on board the ship, what science we’re doing and why it’s important. You can learn more about the techniques and equipment we use to sample and survey the deep ocean.
